Patriotic Bridge
Thermopolis, Wyoming has it's fair share of gorgeous sites! I took pics of this bridge a few years ago and this year they changed the colors for the summer. Beautiful Red, White and Blue!
The reflection on the water makes a flag and it couldn't be prettier. I also learned a lesson, I need to wear tennis shoes when I go on these nightly excursions- I ran across a four foot bull snake! Now I added the extremely blurry photo at the bottom (my camera battery was dying and wouldn't focus). He sure gave me a start!

Narnia....in Wyoming
My boys and I really enjoy The Chronicles of Narnia and so today while driving through the Wind River Canyon outside Thermopolis, WY we wondered if we had entered Narnia during the White Witch's Reign!

Sinks Canyon Spring Runoff 2017
I love Sink's Canyon- it is one of the most wonderful natural occurrences! The water disappears under ground for two hours and then re-appears at the rise just a quarter mile down stream. No one knows where the water disappears too or how MORE water comes out then goes in! I love natural mysteries that still are not solved!
So.... this spring we are having a very unusually high run off and the overflow is just filled with water! Not a normal thing- I haven't seen it in the 13 years since I moved to Wyoming! Anyway, I had a great time hiking around the area and took some pictures of the creek. One week later this same creek was OVERFLOWING and the hiking trail was flooded over! They estimate that the river will rise even more over the next week or so.

Thermopolis, WY, Hot Springs State Park, Swinging Bridge
I took these pictures in Thermopolis, WY over by Hot Springs State Park! These images are SOOC- NO editing was involved in these. I must admit- I am VERY proud of these photos!!
This bridge celebrated it's 100 year anniversary this year! While the main parts of the bridge have been updated and remade over the years, the footings are original- dating back to 1917!
The Town of Thermopolis gave the bridge a nice string of lights to celebrate- I don't know how long they will be there but it sure does add a sense of wonder to the ole swinging bridge.
I hope you enjoy!
